Save July 25-26 as the date for PhoneCon 2026 – The Mid-Atlantic Historical Telephony Conference & Expo. PhoneCon is sponsored by and hosted at The Computer Museum in Baltimore (Hunt Valley) MD https://museum.syssrc.com, and supported by Antique Telephone Collectors Association and by Telephone Collectors International.

There will be the usual antique telephone collectors’ displays, buying/selling opportunities, and chances to socialize. In addition, there will be the conference sessions both days on telephone history, collecting, and constructive “phreaking”, plus access to all the museum exhibits tracing the evolution of communication and computation.

This PhoneCon emphasizes inviting the interested public from the Philadelphia—Baltimore—Washington region (NJ, PA, DE, MD, DC, VA) to come and learn about the history of telephony, to experience the touch & feel of the hobby, and possibly to buy an old phone that reminds them of their youth.

Call for participation!

Right now, we are looking for volunteers to help with all aspects of publicity (experience helpful but not required). We are looking for folks who would be willing to give a short or full presentation or demonstration as part of the conference.  If you aren’t sure of your ideas, we can help. Basically, the conference will be an opportunity for collectors and amateur historians to share what they do and what they know.
