Hello, Great site!
I have a UT wood box antique telephone and I am trying to get a value or information on it. It is about 18" tall, 10" wide and has a brass swivel mouthpiece, brass ear phone and brass hook. The crank is brass also. It is tiger oak and has an oak shelf. It has "UT" carved in the wood box on the front door. It's in great shape with what looks like a magneto, the schematic and all original mechanism. Any ideas on value or where info may be on this phone? Also, what does the UT stand for?
Thanks! Paul

Great organization. I first came to this site to find a way to get my western electric qsd3a payphone working and now it is. It sat unable to work for 2 years. I talked to people who worked for the local telephone company and they couldn't help me. THEN I went online and googled "western electric qsd3a" and found an article that showed me how I could get a network out of a $2.00 desk phone from a thrift store, wire it in and Viola'. Thank you very much!

Just found this web site and thought I'd visit it. I have 2 candle sticks, one I use [a Pat. date 1915 Western Electric] and one that I assume does'nt work, not sure of the make, it has a dail on it. The dail is a little sticky and does not return sometimes and has no modern plug on end. I would love to dail out on this one!! Kerry
